“The problem with being in an era is that you don’t
that you’re in an era until it’s over.”
-Margaret Whiting, when asked what was it like to be the most famous
singer of the big band era
Wow. What a night! It was so much more than we
imagined! Far more emotional than anyone ever expected. For the
first hours all we could see were tonsils with mouths agape. Then
we talked and drank and talked and danced and talked and ate and
talked from 6:00 pm til 1:00 in the morning. Almost 200 people showed
up! Thank you so much for coming! To answer your questions:
YES, we will shortly send a list of email addresses
(or phone number in the case of Luddites).
If you DON’T want your email address or
telephone numbers listed, let us know via the website contact form.
If we don’t hear from you by October 10th, we will assume
it’s okay to release email addresses to classmates only.
YES, there will shortly be a bulletin board on
the site and we encourage all of you to wax rhapsodic about the
evening, keep us posted, etc. We’ll tell you when it’s
up via the newsletter.
PLEASE EMAIL US YOUR PICTURES so we can post them
on the website and share the love.
Again, to everyone who knocked themselves out (not to mention Chris
Brown whose band totally rocked!) Thank you thank you. We had a
ball.

Great News, Tamites!
WOW...what a difference a little nudging...ok, a lot of
nudging...makes. Last week another 50 classmates joined the crew,
we’re confirmed for over 160 total guests ticketed for the
reunion. Thanks so much for getting your checks/paypal payments
in.
Because some of our classmates have found more people, we’ve
decided to EXTEND the $95 ticket price for another 2 1/2 weeks until
Wednesday September 29th, which is the last day the restaurant can
get the headcount, afterwhich we pay extra. After this the late
and cash-at-door price rises to $130.
*Note: we do have a cash reserve for people who need a break on
their ticket so do contact us via the contact form and we’ll
put you on the list. Also, we’re still trying to track down
teachers who can attend FOR FREE so please help us by initiating
that call and telling them to go to the site and sign in so we know
to expect them.
If you haven’t already, sign in the GUEST
BOOK and read the messages everyone has left. If you have a
vote for who should be the M.C., want to volunteer to help out,
want to promote your business on this here website (keep it in the
family), want to put something in the goodie bag for Saturday Night,
or have any other brilliant ideas, CONTACT
US.
Keep spreading the word to all the rest of the class who haven’t
committed yet, it’s going to be a smokin’ good time!
* * *
Come to the Reunion! We'll mingle and mix! Schmooze and Shmile!
Giggle and cry! Groan! Beguile! Reminisce, recollect, revive, recall!
Tell fishing yarns, both short and tall! 20 years have come and
gone, with kiddies rolling on the lawn --wisdom and wit adorn our
eyes (and perhaps our tummies, backs and sides) -- and we have loved
and we have traveled, worked and played, sometimes unraveled!
The time has come to come together, to tell our tales of "if"
and "whether" that brought us where we are today, from
where we started by the Bay and 'neath the lovely crown of She who
Slept above us peacefully -- so pluck your eyebrows, chins and noses,
hang some bells upon your toeses, and come and join in our delight,
to greet old friends Reunion Night!
We have the restaurant to ourselves for the evening, so PLEASE
bring your sweetest honey with you, and call your best old friends
from Tam and urge them to come, too.

See you on October 2nd!
